What is Elastic sizing?

Elastic sizing connects daily ingest, retention, replicas and a growth allowance to a storage plan. Decimal units are used: 1,000 MB = 1 GB and 1,000 GB = 1 TB.

Data tiers

Hot, warm, cold and frozen tiers let data move to infrastructure suited to its age and access pattern. This calculator allocates the same transparent capacity model across the selected days.

Replicas and growth

Replica count represents additional copies. Growth is applied after primary and replica storage.
